CVO Semper in Almeria

CVO Semper in Almeria

From Tuesday, May 26 to Saturday, May 30, 30 Spanish students from CVO Semper discovered authentic Almería and its hidden gems.

The trip was organized and guided by colleague Sana Makrache.

All the ingredients were present for an unforgettable experience: sun, sea, gastronomy, culture, and passionate guides who immersed the group in the rich history and nature of the region. For instance, the participants explored the impressive Tabernas Desert, known worldwide as the setting for numerous famous films, and the breathtaking Cabo de Gata nature reserve with its idyllic beaches and pristine landscapes. Local gastronomy was also extensively covered. The group visited an almazara: a traditional olive oil mill, where the participants discovered the entire olive oil production process and took part in a professional tasting. In addition, a visit to a local bodega was on the program, where they were introduced to the production of regional wines and, of course, were able to taste the final result. A particular highlight was the visit to the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas in Almería. There, our students had the opportunity to meet local students, exchange cultural experiences, and practice their Spanish in an authentic context. After five days full of discoveries, encounters, and beautiful moments, the participants returned home enthusiastic and with many unforgettable memories. Student Helena sums up the trip aptly: “Good company, unique landscapes, fantastic food, wonderful guides, excellent organization, and much more... the ingredients of an unforgettable trip. Thank you very much, Sana!”

We couldn't wish for a better compliment.
