The semper team again took part in the 1000 km for Kom op tegen kanker. In 2013, our colleague Emiel De Gelas (now recently retired) registered a team for the first time and went looking for seven colleagues to cycle with and collect 5000 euros. And he found them . Three years later, this team was reinforced for the first time with a second school team. Bart and Olivier were there every time. Unfortunately, Bart, our organizational heart, had to leave his bike in the stable this year due to an injury and came to support us.

1000 km for Kom op tegen Kanker

The thirteenth edition of the 1000 km for Kom op tegen Kanker has become a record edition, with no less than 1251 cycling teams at the start and an impressive 6,925,500 euros raised, a whopping one million more than last year!

For four days, the national pelotons cycled from Mechelen to an afternoon city and back again. This year the afternoon cities were Glabbeek, Aalst, Pelt and Oostkamp.

This year Olivier and John, Julien and Astrid, Luna and Johan, Willem and Leen, Jeroen and Marc, Gao Feng and Rolv will be cycling for CVO Semper. , Olivier and Johan and finally Bruno and David.

Anniversary edition for CVO Semper!

Our school participated for the tenth time this year, and that excluding the two Corona editions! That's why we were figuratively showered with yellow KOTK flowers. In addition to the trophy for five participations, our brand new trophy for the tenth participation will now also be displayed.
