Moodle is CVO Semper's electronic learning platform. You will find your electronic course material there:
Your teacher determines which of these functions you will find in your courses.
Technically, you only need an internet connection and your favourite web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, ...).
How do I start the meeting of my online class?
Participate via the app (recommended method)
Are you logged in as an unverified user?
Are you logged in as an external user?
Starting in the 2024-25 school year, you'll log in using your Semper account, which you will receive upon first registering from this year onwards.
You can change the language to English using the menu on the left:
Click on the Semper login button on the home screen:
Then log in with your username xxxxxx@cursist.cvosemper.be and the password you set. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it via the link Can't access your account?
Are you still experiencing problems? Your teacher can also provide you with a new password!
Previously took a course but not registered for the 2024-25 school year yet? Click the 'Click here' link to log in using your username and password from last year.
Click the icon of your profile in the upper right corner and choose Taal.
After logging in, you will arrive at the Moodle home page. Click on the My Courses button at the top.
Can't find your course yet? Then check that the first dropdown list is set to All, as in the example below.
Click on the course to view it.
Please note: you will not be automatically added to your Moodle course: this can take one or two working days. So if you have just registered, please be patient.
If you are following an online course, you can participate in the class via the link to the meeting. To do this, click on the Teams Meeting button in the right pane.
If you don't see the pane, you can open it with the arrow.
To join the meeting, you must be logged into Teams. You can use Teams as an app or in a tab of your browser. We recommend installing and using the app. If this doesn't work, you can fall back on the browser.
When you click the link, Windows will ask if it can open the app. If you check the box and click the Open button, this will become your default behaviour.
If the above box does not appear, the browser is asking you the same question. So please click here preferably Join on the Teams app.
If you can't install the app, prefer not to, or are on a public device, use Teams via your browser. Then cancel the window asking you to use the app and click the button Continue on this browser.
If your browser asks for permission to use your camera and microphone, you should of course allow this.
❗ If Teams asks for your name, do not enter it! Instead. Instead, click the sign in link at the bottom left!
It is important that you are properly logged in to Teams. To do this, check your icon in the top right corner. Hold the mouse cursor over the icon or click it to see more information.
This works in both the app and the browser.
If you don't see an icon, you're working in a browser and may have only typed your name. If you still have time, you can leave the meeting via the red button and log in again.
If you are on a shared device, you must log out at the end of your session. To do this, open the menu to the right of your icon in the top right corner and select Log out.
Do you follow the instructions above but you still don't succeed? Then ask your teacher for help first. If you still cannot manage, you can call the helpdesk.
