Additional General Education (AAV) trajectory guidance

 

 

CVO Semper fully opts for a personal approach to all our students. Our study advice, guidance and possible referral are tailored to the individual questions, needs and possibilities of each student. Our course guidance is tailor-made, based on your personal learning path, your learning opportunities and your pace.

 

We opt for broad care that takes place both inside and outside the classroom context. We consider continuity of care important, at all levels of the organisation.

Our guidance consists of:

  • Learning Pathway Guidance:  

    • At the first contact, we go through all the steps, from the info session to graduation.
    • During the info session, we help you with your study choice at Semper. We discuss your previous education, your study options and which exemption tests you can take.
    • Before starting classes, we draw up a pathway together, taking into account your personal and professional circumstances.

    • During your studies at Semper, we regularly discuss how things are going and adjust your route if necessary.
    • Our route counsellors give you advice so that your chances of success increase and you can successfully complete your studies.

  • Learning support:

    • Teacher: your teacher is your coach and your first point of contact for questions about your learning and progress in class.
        
    • Open Learning Centre or OLC live: we guide you at various times during the week in a computer lab to complete your tasks.
        
    • Open Learning Centre or OLC online (E-OLC): we support you at various times during the week in planning and/or creating lessons and tasks on the learning platform.
        
    • Coaching from Ligo: our colleagues from Ligo offer help with creating tasks and/or processing the content of the learning material.

  • Psychosocial care: 

    • Our care team supports course participants who are having a bit more difficulty because of e.g. fear of failure, procrastination, learning difficulties and other problems that hinder your studies. They are available to you by appointment in complete discretion.
