Independent online learning

Dutch for non-native speakers

"Learning independently online" is the perfect combination of working and studying for me.

My name is Zlatin Kaninov. I come from Bulgaria and have been living in Belgium for six years. I work as a work planner in the utilities sector. My job is busy and very dynamic, which sometimes makes it difficult to combine work and study.

I have been taking Dutch courses since my first day in Belgium. Actually, I could already speak a little Dutch before I came here, but I wanted to develop myself further. Attending three hours of classes after a workday until 5 pm is not always easy. It requires a lot of energy and perseverance. That is why I was very happy when I discovered the course “Dutch Effectiveness Written – Independent Online”. For me, this is the perfect combination of working and studying. You get two weeks to work through each topic, entirely at your own pace. You don't have to study for hours on end. For example, you can work for an hour one day and take some time again the next. That makes it much more manageable. The content of the course is also of a high standard. I learn new words every time, including more formal and ‘nicer’ words. I personally find that very interesting, because I like to dive deeper into a language. It helps me to express myself better and in a more varied way. In addition, you also learn many expressions that are really important in daily life, because Dutch speakers use them often. That helps to understand the language better and to speak and write more naturally. In addition, you also learn how to write longer and more difficult texts. That is not always easy, but it is very educational. If you are someone who likes to work independently, then this course is certainly a good choice! My teacher, Vanessa Binst, is really very professional and dedicated. She pays close attention to details and helps every student personally. If you have questions, you can always turn to her. I am very satisfied with this course and I certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their written Dutch in a flexible way. src="/filemedia/312074" alt="Zlatin.jpg" height="50">
