Course content

In this module you will learn to analyse images and create them yourself. We will go deeper into the main principles of composition and study visual elements such as shape, line, space, texture, contrast, colour, etc.

We will pay attention to visual language and encourage you in terms of content and form. We will take a closer look at photography as a creative and narrative medium.

You will learn to analyse images and to situate photos within the (art) movements in the history of photography. We will also pay attention to other art forms and their interaction with photography.

We will work on broadening your perception, your inspiration and your photographic insight.

Entry requirements

We recommend doing the following modules first:

  • Photography for beginners
  • Applied photography and Photo optimisation

If you want to do several modules at the same time, you can combine this module with Photography for beginners or another basic module.

The price is composed of:

  • The legal enrolment fee: € 320
    (Subject to a decree amendment. Decree amendments take precedence over the centre regulations.)
  • Course supplies: € 8 (including course material and/or digital material and/or raw materials, ...)

Number of class times: 80 (including evaluation and deliberation)

You must have a digital camera, preferably with interchangeable lenses.
