Creating a website with Dreamweaver 2 @HOME

Official name: Webcontent - Weblay-out en -functionaliteiten ODB-Y00097-003

Learn how to build a professional responsive website with Dreamweaver

What will you learn?

  • In the Dreamweaver course you first of all learn a number of package-independent basic techniques for building a professional website: What is HTML? What does CSS stand for? What is publishing? What is meant by hosting? What are the most important usability guidelines?
  • We then learn to implement these techniques in the Dreamweaver programme.
  • The training starts with setting up a new website. Here, we focus on the basic elements of a website.
  • We learn to format the website with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS3) and embellish the site with images and film.
  • To position elements of the website, we use tables in this first part of the Dreamweaver course. In part 2, we will learn positioning with CSS3.
  • Using input forms, we make our website interactive during the lessons.
Of course, we also put the website online. In the lessons, you get advice on good and not-so-good hosting companies.
  • To practise everything thoroughly, each student creates a final project (website) on a self-chosen topic and posts it online. You will be given time during the lessons to work on your final project.

To take this course, you must be familiar with basic Dreamweaver operations. If you haven’t done the required module at our school, we ask you to take this simple online entry test.
