You already speak and write quite well in English, but you feel there is room for improvement. You still have to think too much about structures and words and your first language keeps finding its way in sometimes.
This English Vantage @combi course spread over 2 school years. The first school year you take part 1 or part 2 and the next school year you take the other part. The order is not important.
You work alternately on your writing and reading skills at home, via our online learning platform (level Vantage 2) and on your speaking and listening skills in the classroom (level Vantage 1).
In this course you will learn to communicate clearly and confidently in both a professional and personal setting.In this course we use current events as the base of our speaking and listening exercises. We practice vocabulary and important grammatical structures in order to communicate fluently, not only in class but also while travelling or at work. You will also learn typical phrases used for contemporary writing, both formal and informal.
At the end of this course you will be able to:
To enrol for this level you must have a certificate of English 6 (= Engels Threshold 4).
If you aren't in possession of a certificate (or cannot find it any more), but already know English well, then you can take a short level test online, either at one of our secretariats or via our website. If your score is sufficient, you can enrol for this level.
For the online part of this course you need a PC or laptop and a fast and stable internet connection, a sound card, and if possible, a webcam. You must also possess sufficient computer skills.
