You already speak English quite well, but you feel it could be better. You still have to think too much about structures and words, and sometimes take a detour through your native language. Listening materials from radio and television still intimidate you a bit, so practice is key!
What will you learn?
In this course, we base the speaking and listening exercises on current events. We practice vocabulary and important grammatical structures to communicate smoothly, not just in class but also while travelling or at work.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
apply basic grammar fluently in oral conversations
follow television debates
invite your classmates to discuss and argue
deliver a smooth oral presentation on a current topic
use more refined vocabulary to replace the words you already know
immerse yourself in the culture of the language area and communicate about it
To enrol in this level, you must have a certificate in English 6 (= English Threshold 4).
If you have this but can't find it anymore, or if you already have a good command of English, you can take a short level test at the school office or on our website. If you score sufficiently, you can register for this level.
For this online course via Microsoft Teams or Zoom, you must have a PC or laptop with a fast and stable internet connection, a sound card and a webcam. You should also have basic computer skills.
