You already speak French reasonably well but you still feel you can do better. You still have to think too much about certain structures and not so everyday words. Listening to radio and television material still scares you a bit, so practice is the message!

What will you learn?

In this course we base the speaking and listening exercises on current events. We practice vocabulary and the important grammatical structures in order to communicate fluently, not only in class but also while traveling or at work.

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • very fluently apply basic grammar in oral conversations
  • follow television debates or podcasts and invite your classmates into discussion and argumentation
  • give a fluent oral presentation on a topical issue
  • use more sophisticated vocabulary to replace words you have known for some time
  • empathize with the culture of the language area and communicate about it

Evaluation is done on an ongoing basis through a portfolio system and 4 tests in class.

To register for this level, you must have a certificate of French 6 (= French Threshold 4).

Do you have this but can't find it anywhere, or do you already know decent French? Then you can take a short level test at the school secretariat or on our website. If you score satisfactorily on this, you can register for this level.

  • The legal enrolment fee: € 480
    (Subject to a decree amendment. Decree amendments take precedence over the centre regulations.)
  • Course supplies: € 12 (including course material and/or digital material and/or raw materials, ...)

Number of class times: 120 (including evaluation and deliberation)
