You write decent French, but you feel it could be smoother. Your sentences could be clearer, your choice of words more precise, your style better. You want to understand difficult newspaper articles and opinion pieces, even if you don't know all the words in the text. And you also want to get off the beaten path in terms of topics.

Course content

What will you learn?

In this course you will learn, among other things

read all text types (informative, argumentative, prescriptive, narrative) at C1 level in detail
refine your vocabulary in different areas such as e.g. housing, mobility, ecology, ...
use complex grammatical structures and all logical binding words in context in the following written productions: emails and letters: both formal and informal
pamphlets and petitions
reports
summaries
critical reflections

Assessment is done on an ongoing basis through a portfolio system and 4 in-class tests.

Entry requirements

To register for this level, you must have a certificate of French 7 Oral (= Vantage Oral).

Do you have this but can't find it anywhere, or do you already know French? Then you can take a short level test at the school secretary's office or on our website. If you score satisfactorily on this, you can register for this level.
