Cybercrime, you can't ignore it these days.
How do you protect yourself from online scams? What is a virus and what does a cookie do?
How do you manage your online accesses efficiently and securely?
And what about biometric authentication? In this course, we dwell on all things online security and privacy.
The learning content seen can be used in your own teaching practice to teach your students media literacy. 

 

  • Online Threats: how do you recognize a safe website? What is phishing, whaling, friend fraud, cyberbullying…?  
    What about viruses? Based on many concrete examples, you learn to recognize these online threats and how to deal with them. And what do you do if you have been caught?
     
  • Online privacy: how can you be safe online? What are cookies and are they all equally privacy-unfriendly? How do you respect the online privacy of others?
     
  • Password management: how to create a secure password? How to manage your passwords? What is biometric authentication. What is 2 Step Verification and how do you use it?

To take this course, you must be familiar with basic Windows 11 and Internet operations. If you haven’t done an ICT module at our school yet, we ask you to take this simple online entry test.

The price is composed of:

  • The legal enrolment fee: € 22.5
    (Subject to a decree amendment. Decree amendments take precedence over the centre regulations.)
  • Course supplies: € 3 (including course material and/or digital material and/or raw materials, ...)

Number of class times: 10 (including evaluation and deliberation)
