Learn to communicate fluently with care recipients and colleagues in the residential care centre or hospital.

  • As a care assistant, you know perfectly well how to make the bed, but what do you say to the resident while doing so?
  • Revision of specific vocabulary related to the action through role-playing, with a focus on grammar and correct sentence structure.
  • Attention to nuances in Dutch: how can I deliever a difficult message in a tactful way?
  • You receive instructions from the head nurse, but you're not sure you've understood everything. What can you do to understand the instruction properly?
  • We practise improving comprehension of instructions.
  • Focus on informal language, spoken Dutch and dialects.

You are a non-Dutch-speaking person and have achieved a Threshold 2 (2.2) qualification. You are a healthcare professional or nurse or are currently training to become a healthcare professional or nurse.

The price is composed of:

  • The legal enrolment fee: € 12
    (Subject to a decree amendment. Decree amendments take precedence over the centre regulations.)
  • Course supplies: € 2 (including course material and/or digital material and/or raw materials, ...)

Number of class times: 20 (including evaluation and deliberation)
