In this course, you will learn the uses your tablet or phone has outside the home: in the shop, on the street, on holiday...

What you will learn.

  • The course starts with a thorough review of some basic apps and settings of your Android device.
  • Almost everyone has an internet subscription at home with Telenet or Proximus. Did you know that this subscription allows you to access the internet all over Flanders?
    We learn all about it in the course.
  • But also with 4G you are online (almost) everywhere. How does it work, is it included in your subscription? What should you pay attention to in order to avoid additional (large) costs?
  • And then leave on a trip or to the shop? Come into the shop and immediately check with your phone whether a product is cheaper elsewhere!
  • Want to see what exactly a poster on the road is about? Or want to add a phone number to your contacts? Scan the qr-code!
  • No more bank cards! In this course you will learn how to pay with your phone.
  • On the road with a routing system (GPS) on your phone for hiking, cycling and car routes? You'll learn all about it. That way, you can ignore the GPS option when buying your next car.
  • You take classes at school, but you also practise during some extracurricular activities. So you need to be mobile (on foot and by bike). We try to keep the budget for each outing under €10.

To take this course, you must be familiar with basic Android operations. If you haven’t done the required module at our school, we ask you to take this simple online entry test.

The price is composed of:

  • The legal enrolment fee: € 135
    (Subject to a decree amendment. Decree amendments take precedence over the centre regulations.)
  • Course supplies: € 6 (including course material and/or digital material and/or raw materials, ...)

Number of class times: 60 (including evaluation and deliberation)
