You are an absolute beginner and would like to make yourself understood in Russian.

What will you learn?

In this Russian 1 course, you will learn how to pronounce and write Russian. You will learn to converse in a few everyday situations and build up your vocabulary little by little. Grammatically, you will learn a few verbs in the present and past tense.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • greet someone and introduce yourself
  • say what your job is and where you live
  • talk about the weather and tell the time
  • order something simple in a café or restaurant
  • tell what you do every day and what you like

You don't need any prior knowledge to register for this level. You start from scratch.

For the part at home, you must have a PC or laptop with a fast and stable internet connection, a sound card and possibly a webcam. You must also have sufficient computer skills.

You are willing to work on the assignments regularly and independently via an online learning platform.

  • The legal enrolment fee: € 480
