You can already handle most common situations in Spanish, but now you also learn to make focused arguments. You will learn to construct complex sentences and write a coherent text.

This is an accelerated course. You process the material at a faster pace.

Course content

What will you learn?

You can discuss familiar topics with relative ease in increasingly complex sentences, you understand all kinds of audiovisual fragments more and more in depth, and you can understand a (newspaper) article in full detail and place it in a broad cultural and social context.

By the end of Spanish 5 you will be able to:

express your feelings and react quickly to what someone else says
tell an anecdote using all past tenses
express your opinion about the environment, ecology and different world problems
make hypotheses in the past, present and future
use a number of expressions and sayings in context

Entry requirements

To enrol in this level, you must have a certificate of Spanish 4 (= Spanish Threshold 2).

Did you obtain this a long time ago but can no longer find it anywhere, or have you ever stayed for a short or longer time in a Spanish-speaking country, and already speak the language quite well? Then you can take a short level test at the school office. If you score sufficiently on this, you can enrol for this level.

For this online course via Microsoft Teams, you need a PC or laptop with a fast and stable internet connection, a sound card and webcam. You must also have minimal computer skills.
