About the course

Do you want to design your own furniture, cabinets, or other wood projects before you get started in the studio? In this course, you will learn how to use Autodesk Fusion as a powerful design tool for woodworking. You will learn step-by-step how to:

• Build a complete wood project in 3D
• Work with the correct dimensions and material thicknesses
• Model and assemble individual wooden parts
• Check that all parts fit correctly
• Easily adjust designs using parametric modeling
• Take practical considerations into account wood joints and constructions
• Preparing your design for execution in the studio
• Preparing drawings, dimensions, and cutting lists from your 3D model

Using practical examples, you design, among other things:

• Cabinets
• Tables
• Shelves
• Panels and other furniture parts
• Simple wooden constructions

From digital design to real wood project

During the course, the emphasis is on practical projects. You will learn to use Fusion not only to create a beautiful 3D model, but above all to create designs that you can then actually execute in wood. By designing digitally in advance, you can:
