Let AI help you program and build your own website where you manage the code yourself!

In this course, you go a step further than the usual AI website builders. 

• You use an AI assistant like Claude to develop websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• You work with your own website files and learn how to modify, expand, and publish them online independently.

Using vibe coding, you describe in plain language what you want to build. AI helps you write the corresponding code.

• You learn to formulate clear programming instructions, break down a larger project into manageable steps, and check the generated code. You don't have to write every line yourself, but you do learn how your website is technically structured.
• You combine design with practical functions and learn how to test and improve your website. In doing so, you pay attention to user-friendliness and good display on computers, tablets, and smartphones.

What will you learn?

• Preparing your website:
• translating your idea into a clear structure with pages, navigation, and functions. 
• Programming with AI: giving targeted commands and having generated code explained, modified, and extended.
• Understanding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: discovering how content, design, and interaction work together.
• Developing your own design: tailoring colors, fonts, images, and layout to your target audience.
• Adding interaction: working with buttons, menus, forms, and other interactive elements.
• Detecting bugs: testing your website and specifically engaging AI to investigate and resolve problems.
• Managing your source code: organizing files in a clear and organized manner and save backups and versions.
• Independent publishing: place your website online via a hosting environment or file transfer using FTP/SFTP.

You work step-by-step on your own project. This way, you discover how to develop and maintain websites with the help of AI, without being dependent on one specific website building platform.

Software and costs:

For this course, a paid AI subscription is necessary, for example from Claude or another suitable AI assistant. We work intensively with code and larger projects; the free versions are not sufficient for the chosen course approach. Paid subscriptions may also have usage limits. Additionally, you will use a code editor and a web hosting environment. The suitable subscriptions, technical requirements, and any hosting costs will be communicated in advance.

Result: You develop your own website, understand the basic structure of the code, and manage the website files yourself. You can independently publish, modify, and further expand your website with the help of AI.

Prior knowledge: A good basic knowledge of computers and file management is required. You can install software, organize files and folders, and work smoothly with a browser. Experience with Vibe coding is recommended. Programming experience is not necessary; however, you are willing to review, test, and learn to understand code.
