General subjects (or Additional General Education, AAV) include the basic subjects: Dutch, French or English (Halle), mathematics, science, ICT and Macusa. Combined with a diploma-oriented education, the programme leads to a diploma in secondary education.
You combine the general subjects (AAV) with a diploma-focused programme of your choice to obtain your secondary school diploma!
If you want to follow the Additional General Education (AAV) course, you always start with an information session. There you will receive all the information, we will map out your route and you can register immediately.
Make an appointment for the information session on Thursday Juni 25 (4 p.m. to 7 p.m.).

How long does the training take?
Each student receives a tailor-made trajectory. During your registration, we will determine together which courses you will take. In doing so, we take into account your work, study and family possibilities. You can obtain your secondary school diploma in 1 year or take more time.
Will I get a diploma or a certificate?
The additional general education course leads to a certificate. If you combine the general subjects with diploma-oriented vocational training, you will obtain the diploma of secondary education.
Is there guidance during the training?
In second-chance education, we provide tailor-made guidance. We are sensitive to learning difficulties and respect your pace.
There are regular evaluation interviews with the programme counsellor, so that adjustments can always be made where necessary. We also provide the possibility of remediation.
Our guidance is tailor-made, based on your personal learning path, your learning opportunities and your pace.
