The web design course offers an in-depth and practical approach to designing and developing websites. During the course, you will learn all the essential skills needed to create professional and user-friendly websites. The course includes various modules such as Digital Image Processing, Graphic Design, Interface Design, Web Animation, and Website Production. Each of these modules is intensive and lasts 60 hours, during which you will gain hands-on experience with the latest tools and techniques in web design.

The course focuses on both theoretical knowledge and practical application, so you will not only learn how to build websites, but also how to maintain and optimize them for different platforms and users. 

What skills do you need as a web designer?

As a web designer, you need to have several skills that are taught during the course:

  • Technical Skills: develop basic skills and techniques to build and maintain websites.
  • Graphic Skills: apply web graphic techniques to create visually appealing designs.
  • Interactive Design: design interactive websites that are user-friendly.
  • Publication: put websites online and update them to keep them up to date.

The web design course is specially designed for people who like to work with new graphic techniques, are interested in designing web animations and creating new websites.

What does the web design course entail?

The web design course is a course in which you learn to develop websites. During this course you will learn, among other things:

  • learning basic skills and techniques for developing websites, 
  • applying graphic web techniques, 
  • designing interactive websites, 
  • putting websites online and updating them. 

The web design course consists of various modules, including digital image processing, graphic design, interface design, project web design, web animation, and website production.

What does web designer mean?

A web designer is a professional who deals with the design and construction of websites. This includes the visual design of the site (color scheme, layout, images), but also the technical aspects such as programming and compatibility with different browsers and devices. Web designers can work as freelancers, in-house for a company, or at a web design agency. The ultimate goal of a web designer is to create functional, aesthetically pleasing websites that meet the needs of the client.

How long does the web design course take?

The standard path of the web design course, including general subjects (AAV), takes one year. However, it is also possible to follow a tailor-made course.

What are the entry requirements for the web designer course?

To enrol in the web design course, you must be at least 18 years old and speak and write Dutch well. As a non-native speaker, you need a Dutch certificate, Threshold 4 (B1).

How can I enrol in the web design course?

The first step is to participate in one of our information sessions, for which you must register in advance. After the information session, a personal interview will follow, and then you can enrol in the course and take any exemption tests.
