For our students, a trip like this is much more than just an excursion. It is a unique opportunity to practise German in authentic situations: having a conversation in a café, asking for directions, visiting a museum or simply sharing experiences together in the target language. It is precisely this real-life context that makes language learning lively, spontaneous and meaningful. Moreover, a cultural trip also creates space for history, encounters and a sense of wonder. The Ruhr region tells the story of industry and change, of tradition and innovation — a story you only truly understand when you walk through it yourself.

With this study trip, we want our students to experience that language opens doors: to new places, new people, and new perspectives.

More practical information about the programme and registration will follow from September 2026 onwards. One thing is already certain: it will be a fascinating journey full of culture, history and opportunities to practise German.
