You speak decent English, but feel it could be more fluent. Your sentences can be sharper, your choice of words more precise, your pronunciation more authentic. You want to understand films and reports, even if the accent you hear is not what you are used to. And you also want to get off the beaten track in terms of topics.

Course content

What will you learn?

In this course we practise complex sentence structures and pay a lot of attention to enriching your vocabulary. We listen to topical audio or video clips and encourage you to be more independent in your English use.

At the end of the course you will be able to:

speak fluently with a native speaker without fear that they will speak too fast
follow the news on TV or online and communicate about the events in class
make a spontaneous contribution to a debate
use newly learned vocabulary consistently in a conversation or presentation
have an insight into and discuss the culture of the area

Entry requirements

To register for this level, you must have a certificate of English 7 (= English Vantage 1).

If you aren't in possession of a certificate (or cannot find it any more), but already know English well, then you can take a short level test online, either at one of our secretariats or via our website. If your score is sufficient, you can enrol for this level.
