In this 60-hour course (with a strong focus on vocabulary and grammar), you will make rapid progress in a short period of time. An added advantage if you are working in, or would like to work in, the medical sector.

The course is fully medically oriented. Speaking and listening skills are central. The teacher works with digital listening and visual materials as well as interactive tasks, and as a learner you play an active role in the lessons, as everything is tailored to your own professional practice.

Course content

You work or study in the medical field as a doctor, nurse, dentist, pharmacist, physiotherapist, healthcare assistant or in another role, and you often encounter English in your professional activities. Sometimes you may find it difficult to express yourself as fluently as you would like, or you struggle to conduct a consultation in English — giving medical results, contacting other healthcare professionals, making appointments, and so on.

Entry requirements

To enrol in this level, you must have an English 3 certificate (= English Threshold 1).

Do you have this certificate but can’t find it anymore, or do you already have some knowledge of English? In that case, you can take a placement test at the school office or on our website. If you achieve a sufficient score, you may enrol in this course.

For this online course via Zoom, you need a PC or laptop with a fast and stable internet connection, a sound card and a webcam. You must also have basic computer skills.
