A RUSSIAN COURSE AT CVO SEMPER: WHAT? WHERE? WHEN?
Learning Russian: a tough challenge. But one that opens the gates to the largest country in the world. Captivated by its history, art treasures, sweeping landscapes and cultural richness? In a beginners course at Semper you'll learn phrases useful in everyday situations. And what if you can already fluently order a borscht in a restaurant or ask for directions to the Hermitage? Then choose a course for upper intermediate or advanced students to improve your fluency even more and add nuance.
An online entrance test determines your level instantly. Just choose where you want to follow the lessons. Do you want to follow the course entirely on campus? Or perhaps you would prefer a blended learning method where, in addition to face-to-face lessons, you also regularly practise at home online? Your choice.
A course during the day or in the evening: you decide that too.
So go get your diary and block off a few hours a week for a course of brain gymnastics of the highest order. Learn why the Russians use so many pet names and at the same time can swear so powerfully. Get to know the country as it was and is. And learn to push your boundaries while conversing. A Russian course at Semper and you will not let the cheese take off your sirniki anymore.
Хорошего пути! (Have a good trip!)
If you do not have any prior knowledge, Russian 1 is the best place for you.

"a Russian daughter-in-law"
To learn a language is to discover another culture. Spot on!
After I followed a course in German and Italian, I suddenly found myself with a Russian daughter-in-law! And so I decided to learn Russian. A new language, a new way of thinking - and new in-laws!
"Thinking in Russian"
I've been following the courses for two year now. On my way home from the lessons I often realise I am still thinking in Russian!
From the start of the course, our teacher spoke almost exclusively Russian. That took some getting used to, but now I wouldn't want it any other way.
Miss my weekly appointment with my classmates and our teacher? No way!
We learn at a perfect pace, but you have to revise the matter regularly. Fortunately, we can always make use of the online exercises which are a nice addition to the lessons in class.
